Background Of GACA Circular

The government of saudi arabia required institutional quarantine for those who intend to to the kingdom from non restricted countries and should have medical insurance that covers the risk of Covid infection.

Instructions Of GACA Circular

All air careers intending to transport passenger to the kingdom must contract with institutional quarantine facilities and must comply with the instructions mentioned in the operational and procedures for institutional quarantine.

Citizens and their accompanies are exempt from institutional quarantine in accordance with the operational and procedures for institutional quarantine.

The exemption applies on passengers who provide a certificate proof that they received Covid-19 vaccination with one of the following vaccine

Two Doses Of Pfizer Vaccine

Two Doses Of AstraZeneca Vaccine

Two Doses Of Moderna Vaccine

One Dose Of Jhonson Vaccine

Air carrier must ensure the validity of the provided vaccination certificate in accordance with the operational and procedures for institutional quarantine.

Saudi Arabia Ministry of Interior decided to apply institutional quarantine procedures to all arrivals to the Kingdom from countries that have not been suspended from coming.

According to arabinfo24 this decision will take effect from Thursday, Shawwal 8, 1442 AH, corresponding to May 20, 2021 AD, noting that this came in light of the great efforts made by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to limit the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19).

All precautionary measures and preventive measures related to travel are subject to continuous evaluation by the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), according to the developments of the epidemiological situation, and the relevant authorities will announce the controls regulating this.

The following categories are excluded from institutional quarantine, provided that the precautionary measures approved by the Ministry of Health are applied to them:

First: Those arriving through the air ports, for the following cases:

Citizens, male and female citizens, citizen’s wife, citizen husband, sons and daughters of citizenship, and domestic workers accompanying any of the aforementioned groups.

Unvaccinated domestic workers accompanying a fortified resident.

– the fortified ones.

Official delegations.

Those holding a diplomatic visa, diplomats and their families residing with them.

Air Navigation Crews.

Those involved in health supply chains, according to the Ministry of Health.

Second: Those arriving through the land and sea ports, for the following cases:

Citizens, male and female citizens, citizen’s wife, citizen husband, sons and daughters of citizenship, and domestic workers accompanying any of the aforementioned groups.

A person whose health condition appears (immunized), and his companions under the age of 18 years.

Those holding a diplomatic visa, and diplomats and their families residing with them.

Crews of marine vessels.

Truck drivers and their assistants from all ports.

Those involved in health supply chains, according to the Ministry of Health.

– The excluded cases, as determined by the concerned authorities.

With the implementation of home quarantine against them, except for the immunized, with an emphasis on the need to obtain a valid health insurance document to cover the risks of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) approved by the official authorities in the Kingdom, for all those coming to the Kingdom (non-immunized
