Saudi Arab Ministry of Interior represented by Public Security – General Traffic Department launched the electronic version of the driver license through the Ministry of Interior electronic application Absher Individuals and the Tawakolna application.
The spokesperson of the General Traffic Department explained that the digital copy of the driver’s license which was developed in cooperation with the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence represented by the National Information Center is approved by the security authorities and in all procedures that require highlighting.
He added that the digital version includes the variable QR Code and a copy of it can be kept on the smart device and used without the need to connect to the Internet.
